365-15 An Indian Meal

IMG_8389

No, we do not serve our food on tiles with garnishes and shapes but when I was thinking about what my next photo subject should be, I thought why not another meal picture and since this was our meal for the day, I thought why not plate it differently for the picture… that meant thinking of garnishes as well. The meal is “Indian” – rice, a pan fried tiger shrimp marinated with paprika, salt, lemon, garlic and ginger powder, steamed cabbage (used a cookie mold to shape it), and lentil soup (called “daal”). Garnish on the lentil soup are some crispy fried onion. Garnish on the cabbage is cilantro.
