A Weekend Competition

Alexander went to his first Taekwondo Competition on Saturday, April 3rd. It was a pretty tiring day for all of us but especially for him. He got first place in his age and belt (red-brown-super brown-bo black) for forms(poomse). He didn’t do too well in sparring thoug,h only managing a third place. He was disappointed but it was a good experience for him and he wants to do it again.

  1. This reminds me so much of our experience when our son was Alexander’s age. Quanah always got high marks for form but the kid just was not a fighter. He’s all grown up now and he is still better a defusing a situation verbally than he is physically. I think that is a good thing.
