365-162 Hydrangeas

365-162 hydrangea

I am a lazy gardener. I love flowers but do not like planting flowers every year so most of our front yard is made up of perennials like the lilies, iris, tulips, crocus, grape hyacinths, rose of sharon and hydrangeas. I love the hydrangeas. They bloom so profusely and through the summer! I convinced my husband that the azaleas are not worth the space they occupy. So far, I’ve gotten rid of a couple. Need to get rid of another one or two. Will maybe leave in two or three. Let’s see how it goes.

  1. This is beautiful. They’re one of my favorites, too, and we have several varieties. The one you showcase here, however, did not bloom at all last summer, and has just one bud this summer. I guess that’s not unusual in the northeast although it seems to me other people’s bloom just fine.
